After discussions with the key members of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta (PCAA), Craig Chandler has decided to withdraw from the nomination race in Calgary-Shaw to focus efforts where needed in the next general election.
"Over the past few years, Craig Chandler has worked very hard for our party. I sat down with him in recent days to encourage him to help our party in future roles, including contributing his efforts during the next general election. We are excited Craig has chosen to put his skills in helping our team and are looking forward to working with him now and in the future," said PC Alberta Executive Director Kelley Charlebois.
Craig Chandler was campaigning in Calgary-Shaw for several months and was endorsed by seven Calgary city councillors.
"I realized after various conversations with the party that my talents are needed elsewhere and can be better used to get others elected. I will continue to put Alberta first and am not ruling out a run for elected office in the future" said Craig Chandler.
